01/23/1944: Allied bombing destroyed the basilica of the Observance of Siena, and with it a precious wooden crucifix hitherto unknown undated copyrights.
From head smashed, exposed to Meeting for Friendship among Peoples this year, shows a message paper: " in January 1337 the Lord God made this cross in this wood carving in Peter Lando in the likeness of the real Jesus to give people the memory of the Passion of Christ, the Son of God ..." in the long message and then the author relies earnestly to God through the Saints, his destiny, his family and "all human generation."
by an apparent loss (the precious crucifix) shows the voltage across the ideal that man lives in the knowledge that his work is good for everyone. For this Lando adds: "He must adore and not this wood."
